Portable & Stage Pianos: Which Is Right for You?
FP, RD, and V-STAGE serve very different players. Here is where each family makes the most sense.
Portable and stage pianos solve a different problem than furniture-style home pianos: they let the instrument move with the player. But “portable” can mean anything from a first 88-key piano at home to a professional keyboard that earns its living on stage.
PORTABLE PIANOS
FP Series
The FP family is the broadest fit for players who want a real piano keyboard without committing to a permanent furniture cabinet. An FP can live on a stand in a bedroom, apartment, teaching studio, rehearsal room, church, or performance space—and can be packed up when needed.
Portable-piano prices are for the instrument itself unless the listing specifically says otherwise. Stands, pedal systems, and benches are offered separately so you can build the setup that fits your use.
STAGE PIANOS
RD Series
RD models are designed around performance. They make sense when piano feel and piano sound must live inside a professional stage rig, with fast access, reliable connectivity, and a layout intended for musicians working in rehearsals, venues, churches, studios, and touring environments.

V-STAGE
V-STAGE is aimed at the player who needs more than one great piano sound. It belongs in the world of professional performance keyboards, where acoustic piano, electric piano, organ, synth textures, layering, splits, and real-time control may all be part of a single set.
Home piano or portable?
If the piano will stay in one room and furniture appearance matters, start with a home piano. If flexibility, moving, rehearsal, stage work, or building your own stand-and-pedal setup matters more, start with portable and stage models.
